Dr Emily Haythornthwaite

Hello and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Dr Emily Haythornthwaite. I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Alongside my private practice, I also work part-time in the NHS in a community mental health team as a Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist.

Driven by my past life experiences of adversity, I have always felt that my purpose in life is to help others.  I have a strong belief that what happens in one’s life does not have to determine their life trajectory. We are more than what has happened to us. We do not need to only survive, but thrive. These beliefs drove me to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology.
